Senior Product Managers at Schneider Electric were working on a Next Generation Product Concept where they wanted to radically automate a lot of stuff and drastically reduce the processing time. They were looking to create a working Proof Of Concept that would demonstrate this concept to get buy-in from Management and allow more investments. What the product would look like was not clear, nor the technology components needed to demonstrate the concept.
Folks at WonderBiz were commissioned - our team got into action - fleshing out specs through multiple, iterative discussions with stakeholders. The WonderBiz team were quick to explore technology available that could support the initiative and yet be performant for the demo. Asking the right set of questions, suggesting new features, what-if analysis and Solutioning is what the WonderBiz Team are masters at. A team of 3 Dev Engineers built this prototype on a Microsoft Azure based Graph database over a period of 3 months.
The Proof of Concept that resulted was a resounding success. Not only were key stakeholders able to visualize the product, they also took a decision of investing in this direction. This laid the foundation for a suite of Engineering Efficiency based products for Schneider, with the ability of saving tens of millions of dollars every time that a Plant is to be erected. Four years later, this has flowered into a product, ready to enter the market, thanks to the initial work done by the WonderBiz Team!
